Overview of the Ukrainian wallpaper market
Despite the increasing variety of materials available on the market today for interior decoration and design, wallpaper remains the most popular product among the population.
In Ukraine, wallpaper is often the cheapest option for updating the appearance of a home. Fortunately, there are so many types of them in construction stores in both Kyiv and other Ukrainian cities that they are able to satisfy the demand of even the most picky buyer who is looking for his own individual design.
There is a wide range of wallpapers for different tastes and client wishes - from classic to modern, from “liquid” to textured wallpapers with different structures, patterns and color palettes. Depending on the raw materials from which the wallpaper is made, it can be simple paper, washable, textured, and so on.
When choosing a coating, experts recommend paying attention, first of all, to the strength of the material, since repairs, as a rule, are done once every few years - hardly anyone will be happy that, even though beautiful and modern wallpaper, it will “float” from the walls after several months after renovation. Therefore, hot-stamping vinyl wallpaper is considered the best option; it is recognized as the most durable.
For those who have animals at home, we recommend paintable fiberglass or cork wallpaper. The latter option is resistant to minor damage and moisture resistance. The so-called “liquid wallpaper” is increasingly in demand today. Their advantage is that even a person who has decided to make repairs for the first time can apply or “glue” them on.
Don’t forget about photo wallpapers, which are also presented on the market in a wide variety of images and colors.
The last criterion is also important; it determines what colors your home will “sparkle” after renovation. Which color is most suitable for a kitchen, bedroom or children's/playroom is a question to which there is no definite answer; it all depends on the mood and requirements of the owner of the house or apartment. Some people prefer plain wallpaper, others prefer geometric prints or patterns, which are fashionable this season, and still others generally want to see all the colors of the rainbow on their walls.
One way or another, but the choice of wallpaper for an ordinary Ukrainian is an exclusive and individual task for each person, so you need to rely only on your taste and wallet.
