As Navigator reported, after the seizure of buildings in Slavyansk, Nelya Shtepa changed her position on federalization several times, and then disappeared altogether. “People’s Mayor” Vyacheslav Ponomarev said that she resigned, but remained “under the protection” of the militia. A variety of rumors spread throughout the city in connection with her disappearance.
Now Nelya Shtepa, who previously stated that supporting supporters of federalization was a trick, has again taken their side.
“I look at the supporters of federalization and see that they are strong in spirit. They will defeat both the Right Sector and the military. They will defeat everyone here because they are confident in what they are doing,” Shtepa said, as quoted by Lifenews.
At the same time, the official said that she felt protected next to the militia.
She also expressed outrage that the decision was made to sign an association agreement with the EU without coordination with the regions. According to her, a week before the events in Slavyansk she wrote a letter to Yatsenyuk, in which she asked to resolve the issue of a referendum, but did not receive an answer.
“Yarosh, you are a real disaster for all of Ukraine. The fact that at one time Yanukovych was removed and Yatsenyuk was installed is as good as hell,” Shtepa said.
In addition, she stated that she was “very grateful to Putin for entering Crimea.”
“He stopped the Right Sector in Poltava. If Crimea had not passed to Russia, we would have been swept away, like so many others, and now in Slavyansk there would be not militias, but the “Right Sector,” she is sure.
Let us remind you that after communicating with Slavic militias, Maidan activist Irma Krat also revised her position regarding supporters of the “Donetsk People’s Republic”.
