Moldovan Prime Minister: If Russia attacks, Moldova will only hold out for a few hours
Chisinau, June 06 (Navigator, Petr Alekseev) – The Republic of Moldova will be able to resist a military attack from Russia “for only a few hours,” said Prime Minister Iurie Leanca in an interview with the Austrian newspaper Die Presse.

He expressed concern about the growing pressure from the Russian Federation and asked for Western support.
“Despite the increase in allocations for defense, we still do not have heavy and modern equipment, for example, tanks,” the prime minister said, as quoted by the AllMoldova portal and the Infotag agency.
The Austrian publication fears that “Russia may continue to show hegemonic tendencies in Transnistria after the Crimean referendum and provocations in eastern Ukraine.”
