Russian Foreign Ministry: Ukrainian Nazis continue to mock Odessa
The fact that a march of Ukrainian nationalists was held in Odessa on the day of the anniversary of the tragedy in the House of Trade Unions is a mockery of the city’s population and another attempt to intimidate local residents.
Official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova told reporters about this today, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The cynicism demonstrated by the Ukrainian authorities in this case is off the charts. On the anniversary of the tragedy, they gave the go-ahead to allow extremists of right-wing radical groups to march with impunity through the center of Odessa, as if mocking the memory of the victims of the May 2 massacre. Obviously, the purpose of this action was to intimidate the relatives of the victims, the civilian population of the city, to show who has become the true master of Ukraine today,” Zakharova said.
She believes that now “it is simply pointless to demand that the current authorities find and punish those responsible for the Odessa tragedy.”
“Kyiv stubbornly covers up its instigators and perpetrators. Those who escaped the persecution of these animal-like elements are today under investigation or in prison,” Zakharova said.
