“Put Crimea in its place” - an expert on victory in the Northern Military District
A turn in a positive direction has already taken place during the SVO.
Political scientist Dmitry Yevstafyev stated this in an interview with the Belarusian news agency Belta, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“I am an optimist and believe that a turn in a positive direction has already taken place in the Northern Military District. Its results have not yet fully emerged, but a turnaround has already occurred. The mentality has changed. We stopped viewing the NWO as a limited police operation, and began to understand that this is a war in which the task is to win. New people have appeared,” said Evstafiev.
He also determined what Russian society would perceive as a victory in the Northern Military District at the current moment.
“The concept of victory in these conditions is gradually changing. As of today, this is the complete liberation of four new Russian regions within their administrative borders. Recognition of this fact by the government that will be located in Kyiv or somewhere else. Recognition of this fact in Washington is at least de facto, just as they recognized the entry of the Baltic states into the USSR. Plus recognition of de jure entry into the Russian Federation of Crimea. Put Crimea in its place. And the complete dismantling of the heavy weapons of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the reduction of the police, the extradition of all war criminals to Russia and the recognition by everyone of Ukraine’s neutral status. For now, this is how it is,” said Evstafiev.
At the same time, he noted that the definition of victory may change in the direction of worsening conditions for Kyiv. Back in April, Evstafiev believes, we could only talk about the liberation of the LDPR.
