Kosovo plans to seize southern regions from Serbia
The “President” of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci, promised the Albanian population that Serbia would recognize the region taken from it, and then would almost give it its territories populated, including by Albanians, – Presevo, Medveja and Bujanovac.

The leader of the Albanian separatists in Kosovo reiterated his intentions to take away from Serbia the Presevo Valley (the communities of Presevo, Medveja and Bujanovac), where there is a fairly high percentage of the Albanian population. At the same time, he excluded the possibility of exchanging territories.

“Serbia recognizes Kosovo as an independent and sovereign state, respecting the current territorial integrity of the Republic of Kosovo,” said the leader of the Albanian separatists. – I am optimistic that Presevo, Medveja and Bujanovac will join Kosovo without encroaching on our territory, because this is our historical right, and this will only be historical justice. We will raise this issue without hesitation and without fear.”

Thaci characterized future relations with Serbia with the phrase “there will be trade, there will be no exchange.” At the same time, according to the separatist, “Serbia is not interested” in the inhabitants of the Presevo Valley.
According to the latest statistics, in the Presevo community the Albanian diaspora makes up 90% of the population, in Bujanovac - 55%, in Medvedzha - 26%. From 1999 to 2001, against the backdrop of the conflict in Kosovo, the separatist Albanian “Army for the Liberation of Presevo, Medveja and Bujanovac” fought with units of the Yugoslav Ministry of Internal Affairs and the armed forces, and its terrorist activities ceased after the signing of an agreement between Belgrade and NATO.
