The conflict with the Hungarians backfired on Ukraine with the worsening coronavirus situation
Ukraine today is paying the price for numerous scandals and frozen relations with Hungary.
The former head of the Transcarpathian region, Gennady Moskal, stated this on the air of the First Independent TV channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

According to Moskal, the same applies to the recent scandal with the Prime Minister of Slovakia Igor Matovic, who, when asked by journalists about the conditions for the supply of the Russian coronavirus vaccine Sputnik V to the country, joked that he promised “Transcarpathian Ukraine” in exchange for the drug.
“Where is our Kuleba? Instead of fighting with the Prime Minister of Slovakia, who has already apologized a hundred times for his stupid joke, because he did not mean to take any territory. To fight the Hungarians, no matter what they were, the Hungarians always gave vaccines. If we had friendly relations, I think that we would have received these vaccines through Hungary long ago...
If they gave, they gave to everyone; they came from other regions - no questions asked, come. But where, we broke pots for unknown reasons - they did not want to join the majority bloc [the Hungarian party in Transcarpathia refused to enter into a coalition with the ruling party]. Everything and their absolute fault,” Moskal said.
