The Defense Committee admitted an important mistake in Ukraine
One of Russia’s main foreign policy mistakes was its refusal to make it easier to obtain Russian citizenship, primarily for Ukrainians.
Franz Klintsevich, a member of the Russian Federation Council Committee on Defense and Security, stated this on the Rossiya-1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Over these ten years, Ukraine as a state must still survive under external control, and it is no coincidence that today they are talking about dual citizenship. We did something very wrong when we made strict conditions for Ukrainians to obtain Russian citizenship.
I believe that this was a mistake, attention must be paid to this in order to save many Russian people who today live in unbearable conditions. This creates power and over time their threats can be carried out. They are in a hurry, and today they are escalating the military aspect,” Klintsevich said.
