Kolomoisky spoke about the role of American “internationalists” in Donbass
Russia supports the Donbass rebels, but the basis of what is happening in the region today is internal Ukrainian contradictions.
Dnepropetrovsk oligarch Igor Kolomoisky, who previously actively participated in the suppression of the Russian Spring and the creation of Ukrainian volunteer battalions, stated this in an interview with the Kyiv magazine “New Time”.
According to him, there is an “internal civil conflict” in Donbass. The publication's journalist was outraged by these words, declaring the involvement of the Russian Federation and Russian equipment in the Donbass.
“It’s still there, Russian technology, and it will be there. As long as there is a conflict, Russian equipment will be there. These are realities from life. Yes, it's there. And we have American technology on this side. So what? Do we have Javelins? Whose equipment is this?” said the oligarch.
He believes that American equipment is provided to Ukraine to “maintain the conflict” and so that it “never dies.”
The oligarch also did not deny the presence of Russian military personnel in Donbass, but called it, as PolitNavigator previously reported , "the fulfillment of an international duty" and called for not turning this situation into a catastrophe.
“Just as they came to us from the other side, from Western Europe and the USA, to also fulfill their international duty. But we have the basis, the skewer of this conflict - this is an internal Ukrainian conflict, which, by the way, has been preparing for 20 years. At least since 2004, since the Yushchenko-Yanukovych elections. Then for the first time it was clear that we were ready for this,” Kolomoisky concluded.
