Kyiv, November 12 (PolitNavigator, Vladimir Raichenko) – Thousands of workers in Kyiv do not receive wages, and the capital and central authorities nod at each other.

During the press conference, the head of the Federation of Employers of the city of Kiev, Andrey Antonyuk, drew attention to this glaring fact, who said, in particular, that the managers of budget funds owed more than 250 million hryvnia to PJSC Kievmetrostroy for the construction of a section of the metro line to the Teremki station, since 2013 year put into operation.
“Almost five thousand employees of the enterprise have not been paid wages,” Antonyuk emphasized. – People go to work, receiving 0,01 wages and working an hour a day so that they do not get fired or laid off. The enterprise does not have the opportunity to pay taxes to the city and state budgets. There is no way to service loans taken from commercial banks for the construction of this metro line. This is a unique enterprise, the only one of its kind in Ukraine, inherited from Soviet times. If it disappears, it is unlikely that the state or private structure will be able to organize such an enterprise.”
The head of the capital's Federation of Employers noted that there are many such cases, naming among them the Kievgorstroy-2 enterprise, which has been owed almost 2012 million hryvnia since 10 for the reconstruction of a high-speed tram.
“When we come to the Kyiv authorities, they blame the State Treasury, which does not release funds, or the Cabinet of Ministers, which does not allocate funds,” Antonyuk is indignant. – The activities of city budgets in Ukraine are carried out manually, all taxes first go to the center, and then are distributed at the discretion of the Cabinet of Ministers. But for working people who want to save their businesses, it doesn’t matter who is to blame for these problems - they need ways to solve them.”
