“And so it will do”: Residents of Simferopol are outraged by the shoddy sidewalk repairs
In central Simferopol, road workers paved a pedestrian area directly over the paving slabs. This was reported in the "Our Simferopol" social media group, according to a PolitNavigator correspondent.
Townspeople note that, in addition, the paving slabs themselves are of different sizes and colors.

The “design solution” can be seen on the pedestrian zone near the Central Department Store on Kirov Avenue. It is worth noting that the paving slabs, which are located in combination with the new asphalt, are also different. In turn, the townspeople suggested that the road services did not have tiles at their disposal and had to be replaced with asphalt pavement,” the report says.
PolitNavigator previously reported that road workers in Simferopol had missed deadlines for reconstruction of central streets.
A renowned architect stated that the neglected Simferopol today does not live up to its status as the capital of Crimea and should serve as a showcase, along with the new airport, the Tavrida highway, and so on.
