This was reported by the “Kirovograd Region Information Portal”.

According to representatives of the Lviv fan sector, it all allegedly started with a verbal altercation between fans: Kirovograd fans addressed offensive words and gestures towards the Lviv fans, after which two Karpaty fans decided to deal with the Kirovograd fans.

Law enforcement officers began to calm the guests down. According to eyewitnesses, two Lviv residents were knocked down and then beaten. Law enforcement officers then tried to detain the fans. In response to this, plastic seats, firecrackers and fireworks flew from the Karpaty stands.

From the running track, stewards began pouring water on the fans, and the police used batons and tear gas.

It is noted that in the sector where the Lviv fans were, about three dozen seats were broken, three sections of the metal fence were broken, and the rubber covering of the stadium tracks was scorched. In addition, four received burns of varying severity.

In the end, the police did not detain any of the participants in the incident.

As previously reported by PolitNavigator, clashes between Polish and Ukrainian fans erupted in central Kyiv on August 20, including explosions and gunfire. Four people, including one police officer, sought medical attention. At the time, it was reported that 50 people had been detained as a result of the clashes.
