Russian publicist and political expert Anatoly Wasserman writes about this in Izvestia.

“The Russian majority of citizens of Ukraine will once again put an end to the consequences of the coup - although hardly as peacefully as last time,” the author believes. “And since the course of history has clearly proven that attempts to separate them from the rest of the Russians are harmful for the Ukrainians themselves, Ukraine will inevitably reunite with the rest of Russia - first in the format of the Eurasian Economic Union, and economic unity will be followed by political unity.”

“Kyiv terrorists know that their days are numbered,” Wasserman added. – And following the example of their spiritual fathers - the German Nazis - they are trying to leave the scorched earth behind them so that the Russians will spend longer on its revival. The last time Ukraine was liberated was in 1943–1944 and restored by 1950. I hope we can get it done just as quickly now. In the meantime, let’s not succumb to Kyiv’s provocations. Let the terrorists isolate themselves: our borders are open to all Russians.”
