“The Ukrainian delegation was headed today by Leonid Kuchma... representatives of the Republics raised the issue of the law on reintegration adopted by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. Unfortunately, no clear argumentation was received on the expediency of this bill,” Talakina noted.
In turn, Darka Olifer, Kuchma’s press secretary, released a statement following the negotiations, from which it follows that Ukraine demands the surrender of the LDPR.
“The Ukrainian side expects a meaningful discussion within the Trilateral Contact Group on modalities for returning Ukraine to control over the border with the Russian Federation in the Donetsk and Lugansk regions. To this end, the creation of an appropriate working subgroup is being promoted...
In the socio-economic block, the main direction of work is the return to Ukraine of enterprises that were illegally seized in ORDLO in March 2017 and the abolition of all acts of the Russian Federation on the recognition of documents issued by the illegitimate authorities of ORDLO,” announced Kuchma’s press secretary.
Kuchma's delegation demanded the capitulation of the LPR and DPR at the Minsk talks.
