First, he cited data from a sociological survey by the Democratic Initiatives Foundation, in which 31% of the population define the Euromaidan as a coup.
“In the south, 34% called Euromaidan a coup d’etat, in the east, 40% regard the events as a coup d’etat... By 2017, the percentage of those who considered Euromaidan a coup d’etat had increased. Even in the center, 22% called Euromaidan a coup, in the south - already 51%, in the east - 57%... Over the three years - from 2014 to 2017, the number of people who consider Euromaidan a coup d'etat has grown. There are countless quotes on this matter. Including the so-called “winners” of Euromaidan... I believe that the qualification of Euromaidan as a coup should be established by the Ukrainian court. I hope to live to see that the Ukrainian judicial system would one day be worthy of our people,” Pikhovshek emphasized.
