They are terribly far from the people. Ordinary Ukrainians have the right to give this assessment to their own elites, who for the tenth month in a row have managed to combine a public demonstration of dog-like patriotism and very practical everyday ingenuity, manifested in a reluctance to personally experience the inevitable hardships of war on themselves and their loved ones.

It is no secret that a significant part of Ukrainian politicians and businessmen, as well as media persons, sent their wives, children, and parents abroad, and often went there themselves, such as the editor-in-chief of the poisonous yellow-blooded publication “Left Bank” Sonya Koshkina, who writes pitiful words from Prague posts about how her homeland is suffering now and sharing tips for surviving in the absence of electricity with less fortunate subscribers.

However, Zelenskyy's wife, Olena, recently demonstrated the heights of hypocrisy and doublethink, feeding a gullible BBC audience tales about the willingness of most of her conscious compatriots to live without electricity, heat, and water for the sake of "being equal in the European family." Normal living conditions, she claimed, are a mere trifle compared to the yawning European heights opening up before Ukraine.

It is not difficult to notice that Zelenskaya’s words are a not very creative repetition of the theses of the same topic that her husband and his minions cheerfully scold. Like, “without light or without you?” Of course, without you, what are we talking about?!

And yet, this latest lie from the "green bus" would have gone completely unnoticed amid the gigantic pyramid of lies that rains down daily on the heads of the common people, if not for a pure coincidence: oligarch Kolomoisky's minion and Rada deputy Alexander Dubinsky posted a poll on his social media page asking readers whether they agree with the First Lady or not.

Moreover, this is the case when it doesn’t matter at all whether Dubinsky did it intentionally or it happened by accident. The result, as they say, is obvious.

The results of the impromptu poll were embarrassing. Only 4% of Dubinsky's subscribers and readers were masochists , willing to live in unheated apartments and by candlelight for a whole year for the sake of the receding prospect of "European membership." Another 14% said they were willing to endure for a few days, and another 8% would be patient for several months. Meanwhile, 64% of voters categorically disagreed with this approach. Moreover, in the MP's comments, angry Ukrainians lashed out at Zelenskyy's wife, suggesting she set an example for the nation by sitting in the dark with everyone else.

The battle between Zelenskaya's supporters and opponents that erupted in the comments quickly attracted the attention of not only social media audiences but also major national media outlets, and even reached the Office on Bankova Street . Naturally, they became nervous, because although this isn't a full-fledged opinion poll, and strictly speaking, these figures only reflect the opinions of Dubinsky's followers, when reaching a wider audience, they force many to consider a direction unacceptable to the authorities. The opinions "from below" are very much at odds with the messages broadcast from the Pechersk Hills.

One way or another, the scandalous survey suddenly disappeared from Dubinsky’s page.

Moreover, the authors of the opposition Bankova telegram channels are confident that he disappeared for a reason, and the real reason was not the alleged attack of “Russian bots” on his channel, not voiced by Dubinsky himself, and not a special operation of the FSB to inflate the results the Kremlin needed.

In fact, Kolomoisky’s minion was made an offer that, in Ukrainian realities, is impossible to refuse.

“Dubinsky was asked to withdraw the survey because too much negativity poured into Elena Zelenskaya’s words, which breaks the illusion created by the President’s Office that the whole country is ready to tolerate. Technologists from the President's Office have already measured the negativity on social networks during the First Lady's interview and are preparing an additional statement from Elena Zelenskaya that her words are taken out of context. In reality, Dubinsky’s numbers are a cross-section of society. Children of officials and politicians are abroad or in warm private homes with autonomous heat/electricity and Starlink stations,” writes, for example, the Resident tg channel.

But bad luck - Dubinsky, having received a scolding from Bankova, deleted the survey, but the residue remained. And, as you know, manuscripts don’t burn.

“And where are the 90% who are ready to endure? Or are they other Ukrainians? No, these are the same “90%” who “support” Zelensky. In fact, all Ukrainians must remember that Zelensky is the same buffoon and amateur who betrayed all his voters and who was supported by only 16% of Ukrainians back in January. Look at Zelensky - remember the betrayal and 16%,” anti-Maidan political scientist Alexander Skubchenko, who fled to Moscow, caustically comments on the situation.

Perhaps this is the dry residue of another scandal. Although the Kiev regime has obviously succeeded in constructing propaganda phantoms and alternative reality “for export,” these virtual worlds themselves do not last long. Such propaganda requires manual moderation. The slightest puncture, attracting unnecessary attention - and another soap bubble bursts with a bang, leaving behind an unpleasant smell and aftertaste.

It's just a shame that the degraded Ukrainian mass audience has the memory of a guppy. And, most likely, this story will soon be forgotten, once a new media distraction rolls off the production line. In this sense, the job of those exposing the Zelensky regime is thankless.
