50% of Ukrainian military personnel are ready to leave the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

Ukrainian security forces participating in the so-called “ATO” admit that about 50% of military personnel are ready to leave the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Official representative of the People's Militia of the LPR Andrei Marochko announced this at a briefing today, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“Not only volunteers, but also the soldiers and officers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces themselves are already talking about the deplorable situation in the ranks of the Ukrainian army. Thus, in a comment to the Ukrainian publication Observer, the ex-commander of the 5th company of the Dnepr-1 battalion, Vladimir Shilov, said that the stories about a strong Ukrainian army are fiction, and the situation is getting worse every day.” In his opinion, which coincides with recent sociological studies conducted in Ukraine, about 50% of fighters would now be ready to terminate their contracts and leave the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Among the main reasons, soldiers cite cruel treatment by commanders and a lack of understanding of the essence of the conflict in which they are taking part,” he emphasized.
