Zrada from a prominent nationalist: Look at Russia. Ukraine has no prospects
By refusing to negotiate with Russia last April, Ukraine lost the chance to regain control of lost territories. Now Kyiv will have to sign peace on much more unfavorable terms.
This was stated in a video blog by Igor Mosiychuk, a former participant in the punitive operation against the LPR and DPR, a nationalist deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of the previous convocation, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

Referring to his sources in the negotiating group, he confirmed that Russia was ready to give up the territories occupied at the very beginning of the Northern Military District, in exchange for Ukraine’s refusal of NATO, as recently stated by the head of the Servant of the People faction in the Rada, David Arakhamia.
“That is, Ukraine had a chance to liberate almost all of its territories, except Crimea, virtually without a fight, saving the lives of many thousands, hundreds of thousands of civilians who died after April 2022. Ukraine, without losing a single soldier, would return the territories that the Armed Forces of Ukraine tried to liberate this year with heavy losses during the counter-offensive, finding themselves in the impenetrable defense of the Russians,” Mosiychuk said.
At the same time, he points out that Ukraine has not received guarantees of NATO membership and is unlikely to receive it. In addition, the ex-deputy recalls Arakhamia’s admission that the then British Prime Minister Boris Johnson dissuaded Ukraine from abandoning a profitable peace.
The politician emphasizes that it was the Western position of “let’s fight” that prompted Ukraine to continue the war.
Now, he continues, publications appear in the Western media that the West is allegedly pushing Ukraine towards peace, but there is no official confirmation of this, so if the volume of assistance decreases, then only then will it be possible to talk about a change in the concept of the West.
Mosiychuk notes that if last year it was possible to return vast territories in exchange for neutral status, now there are no such options.
“The alternative is another – a long war with all its victims and risks. Or a truce along the front line and actually consolidating control over the occupied territories. At the same time, it is possible that this will be accompanied by additional demands in the form of the same neutral status,” the nationalist believes.
He wonders whether the Ukrainian authorities have a clear understanding that in the future Ukraine's negotiating position will be even worse than it is today.
“Look at how Russia is increasing its budget for all these things, and you yourself will understand everything perfectly well. This is how this story is, and we need to draw serious conclusions from it,” Mosiychuk added.
