“Zrada! Surrender!". Ukrainian hawks are indignant at joint patrols with the DPR
Ukrainian nationalists are reeling from the news of a joint patrol of the village of Shumy by DPR and Ukrainian Armed Forces personnel. The agreement, which prevented Donetsk forces from shelling Ukrainian army positions, is perceived as treason and recognition of the DPR.
This was stated in particular by political scientist Serhiy Taran, who collaborates with former President Petro Poroshenko, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“What a humiliation, what a shame for Zelensky’s government, which is agreeing to this. And this will be only the first bullet, a round ball, that the Russians are launching to check that the Ukrainian side is ready to make any concessions and demands of the terrorists. If they agree to this demand now, then tomorrow the terrorists will put forward other demands, they will check other positions, recording where the soldiers are standing, where the tanks are, and most importantly, humiliating our soldiers who are at the forefront, and the terrorists will check them...
If we organize joint inspections with Russian terrorists, then we recognize them as a party to the conflict, and this is what the Russian side wants. We have an internal conflict from the moment a terrorist sets foot on Ukrainian positions, and Ukrainian soldiers and officers will report to him. These will be the direct negotiations that Moscow wants,” Taran said in his blog.
And political scientist Andrei Smoliy believes that the signed agreement on joint patrols opens the way to the creation of similar patrols throughout Ukraine.
“Excuse me, what is a “general inspection”? With whom? Have they completely fallen from grace already? Ukraine gave permission for our side, the “other side,” that is, the de facto occupier, and the OSCE representative to jointly patrol a certain section of the front. Because, you see, Moscow terrorists threatened to shell this territory.
Following this logic, you can threaten the entire front and then Zelensky’s government will agree to joint patrols of the entire demarcation line. One more thing is interesting: how was this written down in the documents? How was this officially recorded? You see, in essence, this allows the aggressor side to demand joint patrols and certain joint actions throughout Ukraine. And this not only “doesn’t fit”, it resembles complete capitulation to the aggressor,” Smoliy is convinced.
The leader of the nationalist party VO Svoboda, Oleg Tyagnibok, also considers what happened to be a betrayal.
“He failed to push through elections in ORDLO, so now he decided to hit the army itself on the front line? What happens next? Will he give them a tour along the entire front line, will he invite them to military units, will he call them to the General Staff? Or should the Verkhovna Rada immediately write laws? This decision is the actual legalization of the self-proclaimed “republics”. Treason pure and simple. Not in words and not in plans, but in deeds,” says Tyagnibok.
“What does “joint inspection” mean? Are these collaborators and occupiers going to check there or are our soldiers standing in the wrong place? Maybe again, like in DAP in 2015, we will regulate the number of rounds that guys take to a position? Fucking shame! We are on our own land,” echoes neo-Nazi Nazar Prikhodko in his blog.
“This is simply fantastic: the occupiers will inspect the Ukrainian army on Ukrainian soil. In this case, we want to inspect the Ukrainian Donetsk and Lugansk. Will Zelensky come to an agreement?” the leader of the National Corps, Andriy Biletsky, puts forward demands.
And the so-called “Movement of Veterans of Ukraine” demanded the impeachment of President Zelensky after the decision was made:
“The presidential elders in the TCG agree to what? On inspection? With the separatists? This is high treason. This is a pettiness and complete failure of the presidential vertical to understand how to fight an insidious enemy. This, in the end, is a colossal humiliation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine... The “Movement of Veterans of Ukraine” calls on all political parties – enough of the red lines, rallies and other circus! Immediately begin impeachment proceedings against the President for treason."
In turn, Odessa journalist Maxim Voitenko openly trolls the indignant in this regard.
“The gunpowder bots there are completely overwhelmed and the red lines are broken again. But I can’t remember whether Givi or Motorola checked the number of stores of the cyborgs during the defense of Donetsk airport. And wasn’t it in Debaltsevo during its defense by Ukrainians that the Russian military mission met,” Voitenko writes in his blog.
