Zmagars are in panic: Russian landing force is heading towards Belarus
About 100 Russian paratroopers will take part in the exercises at the Osipovichsky training ground in Belarus.
The Belarusian Ministry of Defense reported this, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“The parachute battalion will work out issues on conducting special operations, overcoming a water obstacle with further entry into the stages of combat shooting day and night,” the message says.
The exercises will last from March 14 to 27, and this has already caused unrest in the Belarusian opposition, which has scheduled protests for March 25 (the nationalist holiday Freedom Day).
“I take the exercises absolutely calmly. Russia does not need to cover up its desire to send troops with exercises. If necessary, she will do this without any teaching. The example of Crimea is very indicative. This is a smoke screen behind which something else is hiding, which is much more dangerous for Belarus. For example, an attempt to control Belarusian developments in the field of weapons,” opposition political scientist Olga Kharlamova said on Euroradio.
