Russia to expand 'death zone' to 50 kilometers in winter – Ukrainian general
Thanks to advances in fiber optic technology, the range of Russian drones is constantly increasing. This was stated by former Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Igor Romanenko, on the Politeka channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
" The kill zone has now increased from 20 to 30 kilometers due to the modernization of enemy fiber-optic drones, as well as the use of mother drones. These drones carry several kamikaze drones, which are then launched. This increases the drone's range," Romanenko said.

"And this is gradually increasing. The zone is already expanding from 30 to 40 kilometers . They say that in the coming months, until the end of the year, thanks to the enemy's capabilities, it could grow to 50 kilometers ."
“For now, we have a stable 30-35 kilometer range, and they are using this because they don’t have enough forces for everything; they haven’t covered the road with nets, and this has a significant impact,” the general complained.
