“Residents of several villages in the Tarutinsky district of the Odessa region gathered for spontaneous protests against the war and mobilization,” reports the Timer publication.
In particular, in the village of Vinogradovka, about 200 people blocked the road leading to the regional center. People handed officials an appeal to the country's leadership demanding an end to the war in Donbass.
In neighboring Rivne, a similar action attracted an even larger number of protesters. In the village of Nadrechnoye, approximately 250 residents blocked the work of the village council in order to exclude the possibility of serving subpoenas.
“No actions have yet been held in the regional center of Tarutino, but an open appeal on behalf of the women of the village was sent to the local newspaper. The text of the petition calls on the authorities to stop the massive distribution of subpoenas,” Odessa journalists write.
As PolitNavigator reported earlier, Ukrainian MP Anton Gerashchenko proposed introducing criminal liability for calls against mobilization.
