Residents of the front-line village of Spartak on the outskirts of Donetsk extinguished, under Ukrainian artillery fire, a church that caught fire after being hit by an incendiary shell from the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

“Yesterday the Ukrainian Armed Forces fired incendiary shells at Spartak. They aimed at peaceful houses and a small church. The church began to burn. Under mortar and grenade fire, soldiers and village residents began to put out fires. Emergency Ministry vehicles were unable to immediately come to the rescue, as the shelling did not stop for a long time.
The walls of the church were charred, but they still managed to put out the flames. When the fire was extinguished, the fire spread to the grass. Explosions, acrid smoke, and terrible heat did not stop the Spartak team.
“Some of us suffered minor burns, but nothing serious. Everyone is alive, the flames were put out with water, the church and houses stood, people are fine, but it was hell,” a reporter quotes a DPR army officer named Sergei.
