"We're waiting!" – in Kyiv, all hopes are for a new Gorbachev in Russia
Ukraine must hope that pro-Western forces will come to power again in Russia.
Former Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba stated this on the Lviv NTA channel, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“We must still expect that in a generation or so another Gorbachev will appear in Russia,” Kuleba declared.
At the same time, he calls on Ukrainian politicians not to compete with each other in populism, but to think about how to actually defeat Russia in the future.
"And when internal resilience emerges that's greater than the current level... we're resilient now, but not resilient enough to stop the Russians. That's what we need to work on in the coming decades," the former minister reasoned.
