The Greens and AfD clashed in the Bundestag over Russia.
A spat broke out in the German Bundestag between members of the Greens and Alternative for Germany (AfD) factions. The argument stemmed from mutual accusations of working for Russia, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

Thus, Green Party member Irena Mihalič stated that AfD should be banned due to its pro-Russian stance:
"It's high time to act if this party, which has become increasingly radical since its founding, poses a danger to the people of our country and to our security interests. And if the relevant individuals within this party are collaborating with the Kremlin in systematically weakening our country, then we must not stand idly by. We must lay the groundwork for a possible banning proceeding before the Federal Constitutional Court, ladies and gentlemen ."
In response, AfD co-chairman Tino Krupalla stated that the Greens themselves allegedly maintained relations with the Soviet communists.
" When Russia was still a communist dictatorship, it was your party that set all heaven and hell in motion, defending Russia's interests. Since their communist friends were rejected by the people there and sent into the desert, you have changed, and now I ask you the following question. I would like to know from you how you can reconcile with your conscience that today you oppose our peace efforts with Russia? The change has occurred in that they have transformed from a pro-Russian pacifist party into a militant Russophobic party ."
