At the forum in Davos, Vladimir Zelensky was unable to clearly explain why thousands of Ukrainian soldiers died in the Kursk region while the Russian army is advancing daily in Donbass, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
"We are all interested in what your latest military strategy is and what is the current situation on the front. Last summer you invaded the Kursk region, but at the same time Russia is active in the Donbas. So what is the situation on the front and what is your strategy?" the moderator asked.
"This is a really difficult question. If I answer it in detail, it will no longer be one question," Zelensky, at a loss, took his time.
He tried to convince the West that the Kursk raid of the Ukrainian Armed Forces was still advisable.
"The Russian Federation did not have enough strength to drive us out of the Kursk region. Today, there are about 60 thousand Russian troops there. I am grateful to our military that they pulled back some Russian troops from the east..
"Russia also wanted to seize Kharkov, and this region is under our control. But Putin's operation failed, we managed to stop him. Then he wanted to seize territories in the north," Zelensky invented his achievements.
" We have a difficult situation in the east; the largest number of Russian troops , perhaps the best trained, are there. They're advancing every day. On the other hand, the Russians haven't succeeded," blurted out the Krivoy Rog clown.
The presenter didn't let him get off topic.
“What is your strategy?” he asked again.
" Um, strategy... we must use any diplomacy that will lead to an end to the war . The question is what kind of diplomacy it will be. If it's strong, Ukraine will have reliable security guarantees, and it will be a lasting and secure peace for Ukraine, Europe, and the United States," Zelensky rambled.
