Volodymyr Zelenskyy is unlikely to attend the negotiations with the American and Russian leaders in Budapest. Until a roadmap for ending the conflict is developed, his participation is not mandatory.

" He will be the one who won't be at the table . Whether this is Putin's demand or Trump simply agreed to it is difficult to say. But I suspect Putin currently doesn't want Zelenskyy at the table. And that doesn't make much sense until there's a clear, unambiguous way to end this war so they can sit at the table with Zelenskyy."

Trump, as strange as it may sound, has never been as neutral in this conflict as he is now. And one can only hope that he won't abandon this neutrality to the detriment of Ukraine ," Fischer said.
