President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky organized a mourning ceremony on the anniversary of the death of the so-called “cyborgs” - ATO militants who died in battles on the territory of Donetsk airport in 2015.
The press service of the head of the Ukrainian state reported this, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
Zelensky, in the company of the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Andrey Zagorodnyuk and the Chief of the General Staff Ruslan Khomchak, took part in laying flowers at the Memorial Bell on the territory of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and talked with the families of the victims.
Let us remember that less than a week ago Zelensky in his blog called the participation of the Ukrainian military in the battles for Donetsk airport a “feat” and said that he considers “cyborgs” heroes.
“You stood where concrete could not, and even the enemy recognized your indestructibility. Two hundred “cyborgs” paid with their lives for their feat and to prove: we will not give up a single piece of Ukrainian land,” said the Ukrainian president.
