The Servant of the People faction submitted to the Verkhovna Rada a bill to amend the electoral code, designed to put pressure on “opposition” deputies.
Ukrainian political strategist Alexander Teplyuk announced this during a press conference entitled "Trends of the Week: Political Scientists' Forecasts," a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In the bill submitted to the Verkhovna Rada to amend the electoral code, I have already seen several interesting schemes. I really liked this “digitalization”, or more precisely, the use of new programs of this product during voting.
This is already spelled out in the law, and this is a scheme to intimidate those who do not agree: “guys, if you don’t work with us, then your district will be the place where we will train to use electronic voting software.” This is a push to work with them,” Teplyuk said.
As a reminder, political scientist Kirill Molchanov stated that the Servant of the People party's chances of installing its candidates in Ukrainian cities as a result of local elections are weakening , and local elites will try to use the elections to regain their influence.
