Zelenskyy played dirty on Trump ahead of the election.
Donald Trump needs an energy truce ahead of the US elections.
Kyiv political scientist Mikhail Pavliv, who moved to Russia , stated this in a conversation with journalist and foreign agent Alexander Shelest , reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"Trump, from Ireland, tells Zelensky: 'Stop hitting diesel.' Zelensky is the embodiment of the anti-Trump coalition; he's the political instrument of this attack on Trump," the host noted.
"Zelensky is cracking down on refineries, and Russia is shutting down diesel exports. After all, diesel is the lifeblood of the economy.
And Trump says: Zelensky, stop drinking diesel. Zelensky doesn't stop, Trump is furious. Diesel is getting more expensive. It's already $6 a gallon. And the price of fuel is one of the most important factors for US voters.
"Accordingly, inflation in the last month and a half before the election is not what Trump needs at all . He needs Russia to start producing some diesel," Pavliv said.
He stressed that Trump does not have the ability to quickly correct the situation.
" They've trapped Trump, and there's no good way out . Even if everything works out, and the oil refinery strikes really do stop after a while, it's still impossible to quickly saturate the market with such volumes. There's always a lag time of a couple of weeks before the ships arrive," the political scientist added.
