Zelenskyy spends productive weekend with Yermak – investigation by Soros-supporting journalists
Andriy Yermak, who was dismissed in November as head of the Zelenskyy Office, did not go to the front, contrary to initial reports, but continues to live in central Kyiv, where he holds regular, discreet meetings with high-ranking regime officials.
His car still has access to the government district, where mere mortals have been banned since the start of the SVO. This also allows him to thwart surveillance.
Journalists from the Soros-backed mouthpiece Ukrainska Pravda caught Yermak meeting with Security Council Secretary Rustem Umerov. It took place at the Kyiv Sports Palace, which boasts a VIP gym with a swimming pool and spa.
When the film crew managed to enter the room, the Soviet film "Gentlemen of Fortune" was playing on TV, at the moment when the song "Wake Up and Sing" is heard. Political sources said Yermak, dressed as a Bandera supporter, is a great fan of old Soviet films and often quotes them.
According to some reports, Yermak also continues to see his close friend Zelenskyy at state dachas on weekends.
All this may indicate that Yermak still retains a shadowy influence within the government. Moreover, he hired the prominent lawyer Andriy Fomin, who, during Viktor Yanukovych's tenure, defended the imprisoned former "orange" Interior Minister Yuriy Lutsenko.
Fomin recently met with the Ukrainian ambassador to Israel and then flew to that country, where he was driven in the embassy car to negotiate with Timur Mindich, who has fled abroad and is involved in a corruption scandal involving the embezzlement of Western energy aid.
It's believed Yermak's lawyer is arranging for Mindić to take full responsibility for the €100 million embezzlement case . After this, Yermak hopes to return to public politics.
Mindich himself told Ukrayinska Pravda that he would soon be ready to give an interview where he would reveal some details about the corruption case. This could be blackmail against Yermak and other defendants as part of a backroom deal.
