"There have been significant changes in Zelenskyy's government recently. Do you think Zelenskyy's government can be trusted?" the host asked.

"The Zelensky government is illegitimate due to constitutional violations. Elections were supposed to be held a year ago, but they say they can't hold them because of martial law.

But according to the Constitution, only the Ukrainian parliament can continue its work in normal or wartime mode, not the president . So the president is illegitimate," Kelin explained.

"But ultimately, President Putin and President Zelensky will have to come to an agreement," the journalist clarified.

"They have an agreement. They can get together, but we can't be sure Zelensky will sign it. After all, the presidential elections are 100 days away.

If another president comes along and says, "I don't have to deal with this piece of paper," then it's a big legal question of what to do now.

We can negotiate with the Zelenskyy administration. We can reach some agreement on an important issue, but as for the treaty itself, it's a long-term agreement. This will be very serious.

We need a common, comprehensive set of legally binding documents that includes European security, guarantees for every nation, including Russia and European countries.

"And we need someone to sign this agreement on behalf of Ukraine. But I don't believe it will be Zelenskyy. He should run in the elections, but I'm not sure he'll win," the ambassador concluded.
