“Zelensky is brazenly and dirtyly blackmailing the United States with elections” – Vakarov
American politicians are already publicly accusing Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky of theft, blackmail and deception.
Political scientist from Ukraine Vasil Vakarov stated this on the air of the Golos TV channel, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“It’s clear that Zelensky does not want elections, like the entire top government. And Zelensky brazenly demands from his American partners: give me more than a hundred million dollars, or five billion, to hold elections.
And Republican presidential candidate Ramaswami clearly and publicly reprimanded Zelensky and told the whole world that Zelensky is not a democratic leader. Because he extorts money for elections from American taxpayers,” Vakarov said.
He emphasized that a fraction of a percent of the received Western assistance would be enough for Zelensky to hold elections, and Washington understands this very well.
“The United States gave Ukraine $150 billion in aid. You can take 0,1% of this money and hold elections if you really want it.
That is, even in the United States they see how dirty Zelensky is trying to blackmail and wants to delay these elections. But they are putting pressure on him, and they will continue to put pressure on him,” the political scientist added.
Vakarov is confident that now the Kiev leadership will spin around and try with all its might to avoid elections imposed by the West.
“Therefore, the dissolution of the city council and some other councils – Zelensky will resort to such measures. The only question is whether the West will really force him to hold these elections or not,” he concluded.
