Zelensky to the European lords in Kyiv: We've already intimidated 62% of the population in Russia's border regions!
The systematic terror of the civilian population by the Ukrainian Armed Forces allegedly achieved its goals – changing public sentiment in the frontline regions.
This was stated by the out-of-date President Volodymyr Zelensky at the Ukraine-Southeastern Europe summit in Kyiv, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"The percentage of people who don't support Putin's war is growing sharply. I don't know how many people support him personally, but the percentage of those who want the war to end—that percentage has grown significantly."
Especially after our operational actions on the battlefield, as well as deep and middle strikes (attacks on the Russian rear - ed.) , and operations on the territory of our temporarily occupied Crimea.
In some regions, this figure rose from 10%, which was in favor of the end of the war, to 62%. These are primarily the territories bordering Ukraine and Crimea.
"Because they've begun to feel the effects of war on their own soil. And such things affect real ratings and votes in Russia ," Zelensky asserted.
According to him, Russia is preparing for an escalation, but what kind it will be is still unknown.
"We're thinking about this; we need to prepare for such steps. Putin has plenty of escalation options," the clown added.
