Zelenskyy authorities hide the scale of damage after the cancellation of the “agricultural visa-free regime”
The Ukrainian leadership has been unable to reach an agreement with European countries on the abolition of food export quotas.
Deputy Dmitry Razumkov announced this at a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"I have a question for the Prime Minister. During the last hour of questions to the government, you said that you are working to ensure that we do not lose the economic visa-free regime. Have you succeeded?
If this failed, what losses to the Ukrainian economy and the state budget did this result in? And what do you say about the fact that today we are effectively reducing chicken export quotas by 1,4 times, corn by 7,2 times, and sugar by, for example, 2,7 times . How will you get out of this?" Razumkov asked.
Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal responded that Ukrainian diplomats are currently negotiating with the EU, and that they could last for weeks. Moreover, the quotas returned by Western countries were not included in the state budget for this year.
" We don't foresee any losses for the Ukrainian economy, for Ukrainian business, for the Ukrainian budget ," Shmyhal chose to demonstrate unfounded optimism.
