Ze-Rada initiated a land dispute under the veil of war
The Verkhovna Rada adopted a bill in general that allows the transfer of land for rent without land sales and tenders.

Officially, the document sounds like a draft law “On amendments to certain legislative acts of Ukraine regarding the specifics of regulating land relations under martial law.”
The leader of Batkivshchyna, former Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko, traditionally criticized the bill.
“Our team would really not like the war to become a screen for corrupt practices that simply cannot be stopped if they are still enshrined in laws. You just know that this law provides for the transfer of land plots of state and municipal ownership without any transparent procedures, without land sales, without tenders, without anything.
With such decisions, we are essentially destroying the work of the country for the last at least 8 years. And everything that we did together in this parliament, in the government, at the presidential level, in order to protect the country from corruption, is crossed out by this law in land issues,” the politician was indignant.
She also drew attention to the fact that the law provides for a deferment for the period of martial law plus up to six months for the payment of rent by land users.
“Moreover, you will have to pay rent for state-owned land plots and for communal ones, but for private land owners, who are also entrepreneurs and who live on this money, rent payments to private landowners will be cancelled.
What are you doing? This will greatly intensify the humanitarian crisis that exists in the country today. This will many times take away from the people who have these unfortunate plots of land, it will take away the pennies that they receive as rent,” Tymoshenko said and added that “such a law cannot be adopted.”
Golos deputy Yulia Klimenko made counterarguments
“We, as a country that is at war, need to have quick construction procedures for temporarily displaced persons and for people who need to be resettled from the war zone. It is necessary to actually build a new infrastructure, because we are bombarded every day by Russia, which is trying to destroy our railway infrastructure, port infrastructure, blocking our Southern port and the port of Odessa and actually paralyzing our exports...
As a result of the compromise that we reached both with the Cabinet of Ministers and with the committee, to focus specifically on the Danube cluster and develop new ports there that will allow us to increase exports with blocked ports, Odessa ports,” the deputy said.
Let us note that the bill was adopted by a total of 290 votes.
