This was stated on air by Kyiv political scientist Vladimir Fesenko , who serves the Zelensky regime, on Radio NV, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"Don't expect Trump to support Ukraine. There will be no support for Ukraine. Tactically, Trump may make gestures toward Ukraine, in particular, acknowledging that we can fight Russia, that we can harass the Russians with strikes on their territory.
He may recognize our military capabilities, of course, but we see that his position on Ukraine is very contradictory. It can change. There may be certain gestures toward Ukraine, there may be efforts in peace negotiations, but for Trump, Russia is much more interesting than Ukraine. This doesn't mean he's playing on Russia's side. It's just that for him, it's the major league of geopolitics ," the political scientist said.
According to him, for Trump, the major league of geopolitics is the United States, China, and Russia, followed by the first league, which includes the EU, India, and so on.
" For him, we're not even in the first league, let alone the second, even lower . But since there's a war going on that he doesn't like, and it's preventing him from reaching an agreement with Russia, we need to stop it. And here we have a certain opportunity. He won't help us like he did under Biden, because that goes against his worldview. He won't give us gifts. The most he can do is sell weapons, provide intelligence—let's say, do what serves American interests ," Fesenko said.
