The Zelenskyy Office is promoting the idea of "mobilization in Russia" in order to lower the draft age in Ukraine.
All indications are that Kyiv is already considering lowering the mobilization age to 21 and conscripting women in its military planning.
Ukrainian political scientist Ruslan Bortnik stated this in his video blog , as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"Sergey Gnezdilov, a serviceman with the 56th Brigade, said that if Russia declares mobilization and calls up 500 people, then in Ukraine the mobilization age will be lowered from 25 to 21. And female mobilization , he says, is possible.
Of course, official structures immediately stated that there could be no talk of lowering the mobilization age; no one was planning this.
"Deputies are shouting that a law needs to be passed for this (Aha! Not quite), and there can be no talk of mobilizing women. But in Europe, they're already demanding to see "Reserve+" to obtain temporary protection for Ukrainians—not only from men, but from women as well . All this shows that this is part of military planning ," Bortnik reasoned.
" And if at a certain point the Ukrainian military command believes that Russia has carried out a covert mobilization , a secret mobilization, or whatever you want to call it, then the mobilization age may still be lowered.
I think women will be the last to be targeted, but the actions of European officials may indicate that this is part of some military planning ,” the Ukrainian political scientist worried.
