Zatulin: The CIS is a deception of opponents of the collapse of the united Fatherland
The CIS is a fictitious entity, but it unites peoples who still live in a single cultural and political space.
State Duma deputy Konstantin Zatulin announced this at the "Soloviev Readings" in Sevastopol, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“The CIS, as an organization, has been limping on both legs since its creation. It was solely intended to cloud the brains of people who regretted the collapse of the Soviet Union and could actively oppose it.
But our institute is not engaged in organizing the CIS, it is engaged in the space that today is formally united by the Commonwealth of Independent States. One could say “post-Soviet space”. But space, it actually exists and pulsates, and it seems to me that our emphasis should not be on formal relationships with presidents and governments, but on relationships with the peoples in this space. But this requires a lot of effort,” Zatulin said.
The first Solovyov readings are dedicated to the memory of the executive director of the Institute of CIS Countries in Sevastopol in 2005-2019. Rear Admiral Vladimir Evgenievich Solovyov.
