Zatulin risks being left without a deputy mandate
Well-known deputy Konstantin Zatulin risks not getting into the new State Duma - in Sochi, where he was elected, the local United Russia organization turned on its resources in favor of another candidate.
This was reported by Zatulin’s own press service, which circulated his complaint to the leadership of United Russia.

“At the party primaries in the Sochi electoral district, the administration of the city of Sochi and the local branch of United Russia are conducting one-sided campaigning and preparing a massive stuffing of ballots for candidate Vitaly Ignatenko (80-year-old former general director of TASS and press secretary of Mikhail Sergeevich Gorbachev),” the press service reports Zatulina.
The deputy complains that the local administration’s media ignores his presence at various celebrations; the Sochi leadership also does not meet with Zatulin.
He also sent an appeal “to the head of PJSC Gazprom Alexey Miller about how the general director of Gazprom structures in Sochi and the Krasnodar Territory A.V. Rudnev, using his official position, under threat of dismissal, requires employees of enterprises to vote for candidate Ignatenko in the United Russia primaries.” .
Zatulin risks losing his parliamentary mandate.
