An Odessa resident shot dead by police turned out to be a fighter for an alliance with Russia

Shot by police during today's shootout in Odessa, which was reported by PolitNavigator, is 57-year-old Valentin Doroshenko, one of the leaders of the ZUBR (For Ukraine, Belarus and Russia) association.

This was reported by the local publication “Dumskaya”, close to the people’s deputy from the BPP Alexey Goncharenko.

According to the publication, the deceased ran for mayor of the city in 2010, and a year earlier challenged the then mayor of Odessa, Eduard Gurvits, to a duel.

According to the newspaper, in his apartment, or more precisely in the camouflaged cellar underneath, a lathe, blanks for weapons, two more submachine guns and a pistol were found.
