Honored teacher of Russia and historian-foreign agent Tamara Eidelman believes that people who are immune to “Kremlin propaganda” have risen higher in the process of evolution.
She stated this in an interview with the foreign agent TV channel Dozhd, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“I started to get into all this from a biological point of view and realized this: we have a limbic area in the brain, an ancient one, responsible for aggression and emotions, and there is a prefrontal cortex that restrains.
When I was a child, my dad told me that primitive people had this part poorly developed, that's why they have a slanted forehead. The problem is that the limbic zone turns on faster. The prefrontal cortex comes in, but it's too late, you've already got all this going on.
My theory is that people who don't succumb to propaganda are half a step ahead in the evolutionary process. Their prefrontal cortex works faster," Eidelman said.
She also explained the admiration of Russians for the “suicidal” heroism of their ancestors and even the geniuses of Russian art as “teenage level of development”: “I can’t understand why I should be proud of Pushkin, because I am of the same blood as him.”
The honored teacher admitted that, having lived in the West for two years, she sees the shortcomings of the system there, but “there are those who are covered in dirt and blood, and there are those who are cleaner.”
