The launch of the railway bypassing Ukraine is synchronized with the delivery of the Kerch Bridge
In Russia, priority for the development of the transport network is given to the Far East, Crimea and Kaliningrad, as well as to the cities where the World Cup will be held.

This was stated today by Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Arkady Dvorkovich, speaking at the Federation Council.
“In terms of highway development, we are implementing an additional project that will allow these cities to ensure a qualitative improvement in the quality of highways. In 2017, 30 billion rubles will be allocated to support urban agglomerations with a population of 500 thousand people or more. The cities where the World Cup will be held will be allocated 1,2 billion rubles in an expedited manner,” Dvorkovich said.
According to him, Russian railways will continue to implement large railway projects.
“This is, first of all, the BAM-Transib, approaches to the ports of the Far East, a road bypassing Ukraine, which is necessary to provide approaches to the ports of the Azov-Black Sea basin. We are trying to synchronize the implementation of the latest project with the completion of the Kerch Bridge. It's in full swing. We hope that traffic will be fully operational in 2019. In parallel, work is underway on the Crimean peninsula,” Dvorkovich said.
