“The West doesn’t care about the 1991 borders of Ukraine, the goal is Russia” - expert
Ukraine has already suffered significant losses, but the collective West, which is fighting with Russia at its hands, has not yet come closer to its main goal - the putsch in Moscow and a change in the Russian leadership.
An expert at the Institute of CIS Countries, Ivan Skorikov, stated this in an interview with BelTA, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“I think that the military-industrial machine of the West is now rejoicing and rejoicing, and does not want any freeze, and is ready to endlessly [provide] this war. But, nevertheless, there is a limit to the human mobilization resource in Ukraine.
Arestovich ( adviser to the Ukrainian President's office – ed. ) claims 5,5 million, but he's talking about 40 million ( of the population – ed. ). What 40 million? If we take Donbas, Crimea, the millions of refugees in Russia, Belarus, and the West, there are about 25 million left at best. Of those, hundreds of thousands have already died, others have been wounded: the elderly, women, the disabled, deserters, and so on. I think the potential is 2,5 million at most.
And, of course, in the West they simply know how to count. In order to invest as much as possible in the battle with Russia, while keeping in mind that a nuclear war could start if they go to Crimea, to Sevastopol - in this logic, isn’t some kind of Maidan, a palace coup inside Russia being prepared in order to realize their goal?
The liberation, as they say, of Ukrainian lands within the 1991 borders is not an end in itself for the West. In the end, the regime there may someday change, and all this will be useless,” Skorikov said.
