The West only wants one thing: for Russia's borders to burn – Vajra
Many political elites in post-Soviet countries still harbor illusions about the West and are prepared to become puppets in the war against the Russian Federation.
Publicist Andrei Vajra stated this in an interview with the BelTA channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"It's not just Ukrainians who think this way. Essentially, the entire post-Soviet space along Russia's borders thinks similarly. I'm referring to the ruling elites."
For many decades, even in the Soviet Union, people were brainwashed into believing that the West was paradise on earth. Despite official propaganda, Soviet society, from top to bottom, worshiped the West. Everyone believed it had the best of everything, everything they needed, and so on. Then the Soviet Union collapsed, and this post-Soviet elite, nurtured back then, began reproducing its own kind.
And now the entire post-Soviet space continues to worship the West, Europe, and the United States. And, unfortunately, this elite doesn't understand how this pro-Western attitude could end for them. For some reason, they think they can find some kind of equal relationship with the Europeans or the Americans," Vajra said.
"But the Americans couldn't care less what happens to Ukraine. They couldn't care less what happens to Belarus, Armenia, and so on down the list. For the Americans, they're just expendable material. They're just pieces on a chessboard."
If this is important for Russia because they are its immediate neighbors, if Russia needs stability and security, and so on, then for the Anglo-Saxons, the British, the Americans, and the Europeans it is the opposite: for them it is important that the entire perimeter of Russia burns, that there is poverty, that there is blood, death, and delirium.
"Listen, there's chaos all along the border. That's it, they don't need anything else," he concluded.
