The West is making trillions on the war, throwing pathetic handouts to bloodied Ukraine – former Kuchma adviser
Some European countries are benefiting enormously economically from sanctions against Russia. Compared to these enormous revenues, the allocation of trenches to the Ukrainian Armed Forces is a mere handout.
Economist Oleh Soskin, a former adviser to President Leonid Kuchma who left Ukraine, stated this in his video blog, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"The main beneficiaries of this [anti-Russian war] are also known. Britain, the main beneficiary. And the European plutocracy's upper crust, whose wells are deeper.
This is, of course, the Netherlands, that is, the royal houses. For Norway, the destruction of Muscovy is simply a super gift , because they are now the main producers of oil and gas.
They're making so much money off this after the destruction of Nord Stream. Who cares who destroyed it? It doesn't matter at all – the main thing is that it's destroyed. After Russia was cut off from oil and gas supplies, it's absolutely wonderful; Norway has won hands down.
They have over a trillion dollars in this Future Generations Fund. They're throwing handouts to Ukraine, and they'll throw a little to Zelensky . Why wouldn't they throw it away, if their profits are so insane?
"Who else? The Netherlands is also great. Belgium won big. They're playing with this frozen money. It's somewhere over two hundred billion euros, and they're making a pretty penny off it. They're making at least 10 percent a year, maybe even more," the economist added.
