The West plans to launch hundreds of thousands of drones against Russia – Korotchenko
Within a few months, the West will begin supplying Ukraine with a huge number of long-range drones, which will be designed to overload Russian air defense systems.
Military expert Igor Korotchenko stated this on air on Komsomolskaya Pravda radio, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"Currently, construction of factories for the production of long-range drones is underway in approximately 12 countries across Western Europe. In the Baltics and throughout Old Europe.
And the number of drones Ukraine will receive, starting from the end of this year and into next year, will be enormous, hundreds of thousands. Consequently, we can roughly estimate the scale of potential strikes.
The goal is to create a situation where the air defense system will not be able to reliably intercept all of these missiles, due to the fact that its capabilities will be oversaturated with attacking air targets,” Korotchenko said.
“Therefore, we are faced with the task of not only eliminating the production of these drones in Ukraine, which is a small part, but most importantly, the entire logistics through which these weapons are delivered to Ukraine.
We're talking not only about maritime logistics, but primarily about road and rail logistics. The main hubs and routes are known. Deliveries come primarily from Romania and Poland.
"The possibility of destroying key railway tunnels and depots where train wheelsets are changed—this problem can only be solved by a political decision to use tactical nuclear weapons," he concluded.
