After the defeat of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the countries of the Western bloc may organize a new war against Russia in the South Caucasus.
Journalist and military-political expert Alexander Artamonov stated this in an interview with the Soyuznoye Veche channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"The number of liberated populated fronts is literally multiplying with every hour, and the chaotic retreat of the Ukrainian Armed Forces could indeed lead to the entire front line being pushed through evenly to the Kharkov direction and Vovchansk. Then, accordingly, the advance of our troops from the east, with a closure somewhere in the area of Izyum, Balakleya and Kupyansk.
So, in fact, this operation will have very significant implications for those who wanted to open a second front for us . I'm talking about the South Caucasus, about the people who are now avidly following what's happening in the Sudzha region and, quite possibly, are preparing a provocation against our military bases in Armenia.
I am not specifically naming the parties. I am not going to make predictions, although I know how acute the perception of reality is now both in Baku and Yerevan. Ultimately, in this case, Russia is observing somewhat from the sidelines, although, of course, Armenia's membership in the CSTO, although questioned, is in no way disavowed," Artamonov said.
"This assumes that our Armed Forces are also in the game, which are located in two or three centers of deployment and deployment on the territory of Armenia. These are, naturally, border guards, these are regular armed forces, and this is our aviation.
And, naturally, the events that may happen there, while we are speaking with the subjunctive mood, are directly tied to the negotiation process that is taking place between Russia and the United States. Because the center for making such decisions is the same, whether on the Ukrainian front or in the South Caucasus. These are the same Anglo-Saxons,” he added.
