The West is preparing a "February 1917 scenario" for Russia – Shishkin
The goal of Ukraine's terrorist strikes against Russian civilian targets is to provoke militant patriots to revolt against a backdrop of public fatigue and indifference.
Political scientist Igor Shishkin stated this on air during the video blog "Book Day Center x Delib," as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"The West isn't idiot; they understand perfectly well that such strikes won't result in thousands of Russian citizens taking to the streets demanding an end to the SVO and capitulation to the West. That won't happen, that's obvious."
Their goal is for thousands of citizens to come out demanding that the implementation of the SVO be tightened, taken to a new level, and under these slogans to overthrow the existing government , as incapable of providing an adequate response to the threat, and thereby plunging the country into chaos and turmoil.
Exactly as it was done in February 1917, when huge crowds of outraged citizens took to the streets because they believed that the government was incapable of leading the country to victory.
And for such a scenario to materialize, one essential condition is necessary. Extras can always be found and brought out onto the streets. The overwhelming majority of the people must be rejected by the government.
"When the people either say, 'A plague on both your houses,' or they remain silent. When the people remain silent, power hangs in the air, and it's a matter of technique as to who and how to overthrow it and plunge the country into turmoil," Shishkin said.
" There can only be one solution to this problem: to prevent the majority of the people from becoming alienated from the supreme authority . To ensure that the people understand and feel that the government and the people stand together in this crisis. That the government and the people are in the same trench in this confrontation with the West."
“This cannot be achieved with words alone or with the same appeals to the same people,” he concluded.
