The war in Ukraine has already entered the stage of a global conflict, which cannot be resolved through simple agreements between Moscow and Kiev – a global resolution of the accumulated international contradictions is required.
The former commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and now Ukrainian Ambassador to the United Kingdom, Valeriy Zaluzhny , stated this on Channel 24 , reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“ Today we have no right to look at the war in Ukraine only as a war between Ukraine and Russia, or as some kind of local or regional conflict.
Incidentally, the 12-year-old war between Russia and Ukraine in Europe has long since shifted from a regional to a global one. Yes, in terms of casualties and the scale of military operations, it may not yet measure up. But consider this: simply deciding on Ukraine or Russia alone won't be enough to end this war. It's insufficient because this war continues within the context of the old world order, which is crumbling at the seams and can't withstand any scrutiny ...
If we are approaching the issue of ending the war, we must be very careful and consider that the most ideal option for Ukraine is the end of the war as a result of a “ global decision” , as a result of which Ukraine will receive its place on the geopolitical map and will choose for itself some right to a secure existence.
In the new world order, this will be crucial for Ukraine. Third, as a result of the "global decision," Ukraine will receive economic preferences, investments, and so on, which will lead to development ," Zaluzhny hopes.
At the same time, the former commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces admitted that at the moment this option is unrealistic.
